BROKEN GUM...

in the heart of  Fleurieu Peninsula,  Murray Lands and Adelaide Hills

Should you wish to venture further afield for a day, your choices are many and varied.

An evening out with the family could comprise a movie and meal deal at the Auchendarroch Cinema Complex in Mount Barker or a delicious meal at the Riverscape restaurant which overlooks the majestic River Murray.

Our favourite cafe in Strathalbyn is  ‘The Appleseed” in historic High Street, where you can experience wonderful ambience complete with home made cakes,  slices and great coffee.  The soldiers Memorial Gardens in the heart of Strathalbyn, is an excellent place to enjoy a picnic while feeding the resident ducks.

The lawned open spaced area is beautifully presented with gardens of roses and enhanced by numerous historic features such as the Children’s Bridge, War Memorial and Rotunda plus a newly refurbished swimming pool.

Public facilities include barbecues, playground and toilets.  A walk along the trail which follows the Angus river through Strathalbyn, reveals why Strathalbyn is renown as the prettiest town in South Australia.

And...if you haven’t already visited the world renowned Monarto Zoo  then this is a must for you and the children.
